So, it has come to this: A 20-year-old Illinois college student is whining because she won’t be able to vacation in Costa Rica, because she got pregnant, because she couldn’t get birth control anymore, because it cost $20-a-month more at the university clinic, because its federal funding was cut, because President George Bush signed the Deficit Reduction Act.
Boy, doesn’t that beat all. Bush lied to us, got us into an unnecessary war and now he got a 20-year-old pregnant and denied her the entitlement of drinking mai tais on a tropical beach.

You're concerned about what one 20 year old student is saying?
Is this the best you can do to fill your pages? Get a life!
Good stuf,I wonder how much birth control that vacation would have purchased?

Dennis,
si she can afford a trip to Costa Rica but not birth control.
It sure sounds like an issue of personal responsibility to me but it is easier to blame President Bush. I had a flat tire this morning and I know he had something to do with that ,too!
If she couldn't afford the additional $20 a month, how could she afford the trip to Costa Rica?
If only you were as upset about the Bush budget deficit, which is going to make the next recession the worst the early 1980's and far longer thanks to baby boomer entitlements. But hey, Bush didn't lie about the war only going to cost $100 billion, right? That budget analyst who got fired after suggesting it would cost more than twice that, just a coincidence, right? What's the war cost now?
And when that kid grows up to be a criminal, kills a few people and costs us tens of thousands to be locked up for years, we'll sure be glad we stood on principle for not paying selfish idiot 20 year olds when they could use their vacation money!
